
Dr Shuxian Jin and Dr Alexander Kirchner-Häusler from the HONORLOGIC team both gave presentations at the first ever joint International Academy of Intercultural Research and International Association of Cross-Cultural Psychology conference held in Brisbane, Australia between 28 June and 1 July. The theme of the conference was Bridging Intercultural Divides in a Digitally Connected World, and it provided a platform to discuss new and emerging topics in intercultural relations and cross- cultural psychology. https://www.intercultural-academy.net/iair-iaccp2025
At the conference, Shuxian had an oral presentation titled “Honor and anti(pro)social punishment: A multi-lab replication and extension of Hermann et al. (2008)” and Alex had an oral presentation titled “Sorry, not sorry: Unravelling the interplay of apologies and honour in Mediterranean cultures and beyond“ originating from HONORLOGIC Work Packages 1 and 3, respectively. Both presentations were part of a symposium titled “Cultures of dignity, honor, and face: Conceptualization, measurement, and links to prosociality” co-organized by Lusine Grigoryan and HONORLOGIC PI Ayse K. Uskul.
