Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts for Individual Papers, Posters, and Panel Sessions / Symposia

We look forward to your submissions in any format listed below. Please note that all submissions and presentations are expected to be in English.

Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts for Individual Papers or Panel Sessions

Individual Oral PresentationsWe invite abstracts for oral presentations on any topic or theme related to the conference. We aim for 20-minute slots. Accepted submissions will be placed in a session with 3 to 4 presentations that share a common theme. Where possible we will make decisions to maximize interdisciplinary exchanges on a given topic. Each session will be followed by Q&A and discussion. Please submit a 200-word abstract for your proposed paper accompanied by the title of the presentation/paper, up to five key words, your name, affiliated institution, title, and email address.

Symposia/Panel SessionsWe invite abstracts for panel sessions consisting of four papers or a round table panel on any topic on the conference theme. As with individual paper submissions, each paper within the session will be allocated 20 minutes. Panel sessions can include a discussant, too (optional). The organizer of each session will be responsible for communicating the decision to the speakers and ensuring that they register on time. Please submit a 200-word symposium abstract and a 200-word abstract for each individual paper, as well as each participant’s name, affiliated institution, and email address. Abstracts for complete symposia or panel sessions need to include the discussant’s name (if included).

Poster Presentations. We invite poster submissions that will be displayed during a dedicated poster session in the meeting programme. Please submit a 200-word poster abstract as well as each participant’s name, affiliated institution, title, and email address. All poster presenters will be required to bring their printed poster for display at the Meeting and be present at the poster session to share their poster with the attendees. Specific guidelines about posters will be provided upon acceptance.

Deadline for Submissions and Notification of Acceptance. The deadline for abstract submissions is December 15, 2024. After the deadline, submissions will be reviewed by the members of the scientific committee, with acceptance notifications sent out early to mid-January 2025 to allow time for travel arrangements.

Meeting Dates. The Meeting will be held on Sunday to Tuesday, 6-8 April 2025. We will ask all attendees to be present for the entire duration of the meeting.

Rethymno is located between Chania (36.6 km) and Heraklion (62.8 km) that host the two airports on the island with excellent connections throughout the Mediterranean (see here: Flights from Chania (CHQ) & Flights from Heraklion (HER))

Remote Participation. The meeting is organized as an in-person meeting to maximize scientific exchange. Please do notify the organizers if in-person attendance becomes difficult, and we will explore alternative participation options.

Acceptance decisions will be made by a subgroup of the HONORLOGIC project team (see for details here: honorlogic.org/the-team).
